DESCRIPTION:The 14th Annual Flathead Valley Economic Forecast will feature Special Guest Economist Joe Mahon from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Mr. Mahon's primary responsibilities involve tracking several sectors of the Ninth District economy\; an area that covers Minnesota\, North and South Dakota\, Montana\, and portions of Wisconsin and Michigan. For the 2016 Flathead Forecast\, he will discuss the economic outlook for the Ninth District based on the most recent economic indicators and the Minneapolis Federal Reserve's forecasting model. Mr. Mahon holds degrees in Economics and Journalism from the University of Minnesota.  \n\n\n\nDr. Brad Eldredge of Flathead Valley Community College will return this year to review the change in employment in various industries in the Flathead Valley\, and present a forecast for 2016. \n\n\n\nAlso returning are Certified General Appraisers Ellie Clark\, MAI with Clark Real Estate Appraisal\, and Barbra Bennett\, MAI\, of Bennett Appraisal Services\, who will recap the 2015 residential and commercial real estate markets and look at what is to come for 2016.
